Specializing in the music of the 1920's and 1930's, the Sneak Thievery Orchestra is a living embodiment of the old and the new. As one of New York City's most sought after ensembles, Sneak Thievery Orchestra offers engaging performances full of style, sophistication, and the blues. 

Known mostly for his work in traditional and mainstream jazz, Jason Prover has established himself as one of the most versatile and multifaceted trumpet players in New York City. Jason has traveled the world extensively in a career that began at the age of 15 thanks to the guidance of an artistic family. Having performed with such ensembles as The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Lee Fields and the Expressions, and the Hot Sardines, Jason is a also the band leader of the forward thinking, Sneak Thievery Orchestra. He formed this group in an effort to bring straight-ahead and traditional jazz together in a style that is enjoyable to both musicians and non-musicians alike. Jason is also a noteworthy composer and arranger who regularly works with the Danish-based film company, House of Real. Their award-winning film, "Dream Empire," features Jason's music and is often praised for it's soundtrack. Alongside his career as a performer, Jason is a firm believer in music education and has served in a wide range of educational roles for over a decade. He has performed clinics and masterclasses at numerous schools and colleges including his alma mater, University of Florida. A progressive musician with a strong appreciation for the traditional roots of jazz, Jason Prover continues to believe in the profound power of music and has dedicated himself to furthering the message of jazz.
