Events for every taste: parades, fashion shows, flower shows, car showrooms, national holidays of individual cultures (from Chinese New Year to Greek parade), film festivals, assemblies, shooting new films, and so on. Visiting one or more such events will diversify the journey and provide a bright range of emotions. In January it is traditional Restaurant Week, or Restaurant Week, Yacht and Boat Show, Winter Jazz Festival. Chinese New Year is widely celebrated in New York, in late January or February (depending on the year and the Chinese calendar). In spring, there are several parades, including the Easter parade. In spring it is worth not missing the cherry blossom in Brooklyn Botanical Garden, as well as Fleet Week in late May. The most important summer events include free concerts of the Metropolitan Opera in the parks, the Museum Mile Festival, fireworks on July 4, Summer Restaurant Week, and the US Open tournament. In autumn, New York City hosts Fashion Week, Halloween parade, Thanksgiving parade, which ends with the arrival of Santa Claus. December is a pleasant pre-holiday bustle, parade of shop windows in New York department stores, Christmas, and, of course, New Year's Eve in Times Square.
